CULTURAL
EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Reconciliation
As
the first cultures of this land and its seas, the indigenous peoples’
cultures warrant special respect. At Ganngjalah we work together with
traditional custodians to develop an interactive meeting place which illustrates
Australia’s history and enhances our heritage. From the interaction
and understanding generated by better information and achievement of co-operative
action, we will celebrate the progress of reconciliation.
In the end, a situation can be reached where this ancient, subtly creative
indigenous culture exists in friendship alongside the non-indigenous cultures.
Such an achievement would be a matter of pride not only for all Australians
but for all humankind.
‘Reconciliation is both a national task and a personal commitment’
Father Frank Brennan
Ganngjalah
